Pain symptoms experienced by those with cancer vary from person to person and range from mild to severe chronic pain. Pain can come from cancer itself or the treatments used to battle cancer, like chemotherapy treatment, radiation therapy, and surgery. There are a number of cancer pain treatment options currently available that can help manage and relieve cancer pain. This class will help you understand the causes of cancer pain and the treatment options available, including targeted drug delivery via spinal pain pump, nerve blocks, and medications.
