Understanding Your Bill
As part of our service, we handle billing with your health insurance company. Ensuring we have accurate information when you receive services allows for smooth claims processing. Please keep us informed of any changes to your information to maintain an up-to-date account and reduce paperwork.
You may receive multiple bills for our services:
- If you are having a procedure at one of our ambulatory surgery centers, you will receive one (1) bill for the physician (professional) services and one (1) bill for the ambulatory surgery center (facility) fees. Benefits may vary, so check with your insurance carrier. Payments can be applied to outstanding balances for either professional services or facility fees as determined by Nura.
- If you undergo urine toxicology testing, you will receive an invoice from Nura for the test. Some lab results are sent to a confirmatory lab for additional information; you’ll receive a separate bill for their services if applicable.
- If you receive anesthesia for a procedure at our clinic, you may receive a separate bill from Nura PLLC for those services.
- If you receive services in a hospital or other inpatient setting, you will receive a different bill for those facility charges, separate from any bills you may receive for services provided by a Nura provider or facility.

Insurance Responsibility for Services Rendered
As your provider, please note that our relationship is with you, not your insurance company. Coverage details are outlined in your contract with your insurance carrier and not all services may be covered. Familiarize yourself with your benefits and limitations by contacting your insurance carrier directly with any questions.
Prior Authorization
Our Prior Authorization Team will interface with your insurance company and request authorization for needed services on your behalf. For Prior Authorization questions, please call 763-537-6000, extension 7598.
Copayments, Coinsurance, and Deductibles
All copayments, coinsurance and deductibles are due at the time of service. Your insurance company sets these rates. Please refer to your policy or call our Billing Team at 763-243-3300 for assistance.
- Copayments are a flat fee paid each time a medical service is accessed. They must be paid before an insurance company pays any policy benefit. Depending on coverage, copayments usually range from $20 to $50.
- Coinsurance is a percentage of the allowed charge that the individual pays after the deductible has been satisfied.
- Deductibles must be paid out of pocket before an insurance carrier will pay any expenses. The patient must pay the deductible before the insurance policy benefits can apply.
Self-Pay
Nura is committed to providing high-quality medical services that are affordable to everyone. If you are uninsured and need care, we can see you on a self-pay basis. Payment is due at the time services are rendered.
Budget Plans and Financial Hardship
