Pelvic Floor Therapy is a specialized form of physical therapy aimed at treating issues related to the pelvic floor muscles. These muscles support the bladder, bowel and reproductive organs. Their dysfunction can lead to pain, incontinence and other symptoms. The therapy focuses on strengthening and coordinating these muscles through exercises, manual techniques and education to improve function and relieve symptoms.
At Nura, we offer comprehensive pelvic floor therapy for both female and male-identifying individuals, setting us apart from many clinics that only provide this service for females. Our licensed physical therapists — certified in Levels 1 and 2c of pelvic pain — are equipped to provide expert care for a wide range of pelvic floor disorders.
Soft Tissue Mobilization is a hands-on therapy technique used to treat muscle and connective tissue injuries. Applying pressure and manipulating soft tissues — such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments — helps improve blood flow, release muscle tension and enhance tissue elasticity. Soft tissue mobilization aids in reducing pain, increasing range of motion and promoting faster healing by addressing adhesions and scar tissue that can restrict movement and function.
Warm Saltwater Therapy is particularly beneficial for individuals who find other forms of physical therapy challenging. The salt enhances buoyancy, which helps to decompress aching joints and improve range of motion and function. At Nura, we offer one of the few facilities with warm saltwater pool therapy. This therapy is effective for a variety of conditions, including fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) and back pain, among others.
