COVID-19 Update – During the MN “Stay At Home” Executive Order period we are open to serve our patients
On March 25th, MN Governor Walz put in place Executive Order 20-20 for Minnesotans to “Stay At Home” from March 28th through April 10th. As Nura provides an essential service as outlined in the order, Healthcare Services, our practice is able and committed to staying open for patient care during this period.
Please know there is no higher priority for us than the health and safety of our patients, staff and families. In light of concerns about the COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we want to let you know what measures Nura is taking for your health and safety.
Access to Patient Care – Regular Business Hours
Because chronic pain does not take a break, we will remain open during our regular business hours to continue serving our patients. We know that safety is at the top of everyone’s minds these days. To support social distancing, Nura has implemented telemedicine e-visit capability for new patient, return evaluation, physical therapy, and behavioral health appointments. We have expanded our provider access to ensure we are available to meet our patients’ needs during these challenging times. We have also streamlined our operations and in-clinic appointments are available at our Edina location.
Access To Patient Care – After Hours Care
Our nurse line will continue to be staffed 24/7 and can be reached any time the need may arise. Our goal is to keep you from having to go to your Primary Care Provider, the Emergency Room, or Hospital because of your pain. Although elective pain procedures are on hold during the pandemic, if you experience a pain crisis that would cause you to go to the Emergency Room or Hospital, please call us. We will consider performing urgent pain relief procedures on a case by case basis.
COVID-19 Patient Screening
The health and safety of our patients and staff continue to be of the upmost importance so we have added COVID-19 screening to our online and phone patient check-in processes as well as implementing an in-clinic screening process. If you are not feeling well, have a fever, have respiratory symptoms, or have traveled to high risk areas, we kindly ask that you request a telemedicine e-visit for your appointment by calling the scheduling department at 763-537-6000.
Keeping our clinic and surgery center clean
Although sanitizing our clinics has always been top of mind for our staff, we have increased the frequency with which we sanitize surfaces within the clinic. For necessary in-clinic appointments we are screening patients for risk factors and sanitizing all surfaces after every interaction. In addition, we are taking all appropriate safety precautions and are monitoring and implementing CDC recommendations daily.

The Importance of Hand Washing
One of the best ways you can keep from getting sick is to wash your hands often. Proper hand washing keeps harmful germs you’ve touched from getting into your eyes, nose and mouth. And, it keeps you from spreading harmful germs to others.
