What does “Nura” stand for? “Nura” suggests the nurturing approach we take with our patients, as well as, alluding to the nerves and nervous system that are such key components of chronic pain diagnosis and treatment.
Will Nura be covered by my insurance? Nura will have the same basic policies and insurance coverage that MAPS had. The invoice for services come from Nura instead of MAPS.
Are the clinic locations, phone numbers and referral fax number the same? Nura has clinics at the same Edina and Coon Rapids locations along with the same phone numbers. Our Maple Grove location closed on 2/27 and moved to Coon Rapids.
Will I continue getting my care in the same way? Our multi-tool approach includes; interventions, physical therapy and wellness coaching designed to work in concert to dial up your long-term health. Your plan of care may already include many of these. Nura is looking to provide a more comprehensive approach to chronic pain care. This can provide more options for more relief to more patients. Speak with your Nura care provider to discuss how these added options may expand your plan of care.
Will my prescription be filled at my Nura clinic visit? Each patient has an individual treatment plan with Nura that will be reviewed by your provider at your visit. Your medications will be evaluated at that time and refills will be determined based on your plan of care.
How often do I have to come back for refills of my opioid prescription? Your plan of care has been carefully determined by your Nura provider based on your; health history, medications and reaction to the current treatment plan put in place by your Nura provider. How often you need to come into the clinic for prescription refills is based upon your individual treatment plan and will be discussed at your appointment.
Will my Nura provider communicate my treatment plan notes back to my referring provider? Nura will communicate your plan of care back to your referring provider upon your signing the Release of Information form.
